I love Catherine. She was one of the most gracious, generous, and hilarious people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have been reading her books for years, but didn't reach out to her on a personal level until 2020. She welcomed my messages with open arms and dry English wit. Her easy acceptance of my friendship meant the world to me. 

Catherine also supported me through my own first book, offering advice and encouragement when I needed it the most. She shared her personal struggles, we talked about her daughter's braces, and how much we deserved a writers weekend away in Las Vegas, with all the margaritas and chocolate we could handle.

She was unfailingly positive, even in the face of the harshest challenges. I will forever admire her strength, her perseverance, and her grace under fire.

I hope that in this difficult time, her family knows that Catherine's friends and readers all around the world are thinking of them, and sending love their way.

She was a special woman, and I hope that I can emulate even a fraction of her amazingness in my own life.

Rest easy, sweet lady, but know that you are missed.
